Dr. Urvashi Chhikara is an enthusiastic Fetal Medicine Specialist with 9+ years of experience. She has completed her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and DNB in Obstetrics and Gynecology from National Board of examinations (NBE). She did 2 years of senior residency in OBG from Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi.

Dr. Urvashi pursued her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine for 2 years from Apollo Centre of Fetal Medicine, New Delhi. She is certified in nuchal scan (11-13+6 weeks), anomaly scan, Obstetrics Dopplers and cervical assessment from Fetal medicine Foundation (FMF-UK).

She has been trained for fetal invasive procedures- amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling, multi-fetal reductions, amnio-drainage, pleurocentesis, vesicocentesis, ascitic tap etc.

She has worked as Consultant Fetal Medicine at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital - Delhi, Apollo Hospital - Noida, Apollo Cradle Maternity and Children’s Hospital Motinagar and Healthway Hospital -Goa.Her areas of interest are high risk pregnancies, fetal echocardiography, multiple pregnancies, fetal invasive procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic). Dr. Urvashi has special academic interest in the field of high risk Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine and has multiple publications, studies and case reports in various national and international journals.
