""We had a challenging journey. My wife had a large endometriotic cyst that required open surgery due to its size and potential risks. Despite concerns of it turning cancerous, Dr. Nikhil D Datar successfully removed it. We were also struggling with infertility, and after the first surgery, we began preparing for conception. However, another cyst formed, leading to multiple surgeries. Despite the difficulties, Dr. Datar provided unwavering support, and now, three years later, we have twin boys. We are incredibly grateful to Cloudnine and Dr. Datar for their exceptional service and guidance. Thank you"

Seventh Month Delivery Is Safe, Is It True? | Dr. Nikhil Datar
Many expecting mothers have doubts – about whether seventh-month delivery is safer than eight-month delivery. Watch this video by Dr. Nikhil D Datar, Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Cloudnine Hospital, Malad to find out the answer to it.
What are the most common surgeries done in women? I Dr. Nikhil D Datar
"If we are able to do the procedure through the natural orifice, then that gives fantastic results and recovery is the fastest. In my experience of close to 20 years, the most common procedures done are through the natural orifice. For prolapse, that is when the uterus comes down and it needs to be kind of refitted back. Stress incontinence is a problem very common amongst women of middle age and above where they pass urine inadvertently even after they cough or sneeze or laugh. People recover very quick and fast. They can resume their work very quick and fast"
7 Pregnancy Danger Signs to watch out for I Dr. Nikhil D Datar
"Most often pregnancies are happy and they end very happily. However some pregnancies can have major complications. If at all a woman knows what to watch for, then she can definitely watch for some danger signs whereby she is able to report to the doctor in timely manner so that proper treatment can be initiated. Things like excessively swollen legs suddenly especially with high blood pressure, can be a sign of preeclampsia, means excessive blood pressure during pregnancy, this can be a very major problem. In fat it is a very major problem in our country. So if at all you watch for these kind of things happening, it is always better to go to your doctor. Similarly some people may have sudden loss of consciousness. They may get blurring of vision. This also could be a call of major concern usually associated with blood pressure problem, is again a major sign to be teaching for. If you are gaining to much of weight or if you are urinating too frequently, it could be a sign that you are developing some kind of a gestational diabetes, that is diabetes which comes during pregnancy. So you should go to the doctor. Lastly if you are bleeding during pregnancy or if you are leaking, that means the amniotic fluid or the fluid around the baby is coming out, that is another very important things that is even if you are not having any pain, you should go to the doctor. If at all there is any problem, your doctor can treat you at the right time and give you a happy baby, a healthy baby in your hands"
Ways to prevent Back Pain after delivery I Dr. Nikhil D Datar
"Having back pain after delivery is a very very common problem. Most of the women come to us with this problem. Now it is primarily because of a very faulty breast feeding position. Many at times you do to take adequate amount of support at the back. The position of breast feeding can be faulty. So your back is in an unnecessarily stretched situation. So you can get backache. Second common reason is contracting or involuting uterus. So after delivery everybody knows that the uterus will shrink in size, it will become smaller in size. While this is happening this will give rise to some kind of a lower back ache. The third common thing in our country and it is something that every pregnant women or delivering mother should be aware of , is severe lack of calcium and lack of vitamin. When you are by breast feeding you are loosing a lot of calcium through breast milk and it will go to the baby. So your calcium levels are going to go down and this is one of the reason that because of it you may have a chronic type of low backache. Last and most important is that back exercises post delivery are absolutely crucial. If your back muscles are strengthened and strong, then believe me you will not have back pain, which is a very common problem after the delivery takes place"
Can Fibroid be removed without surgery? I Dr. Nikhil D Datar
"It is very common that a woman comes to us with a songraphy report which shows presence of a fibroid. We all must understand that fibroids primarily speaking means that there is a small bag inside the uterus. These fibroids are usually not malignant and just because there is a fibroid, it doesn’t mean that it requires a treatment. So when do you treat a fibroid or when a woman should actually undergo a treatment for fibroid? The answer is that one will like to treat the fibroid only if they are causing some problem. So what problem can occur because of fibroids. Usually when we have fibroids, we have menstrual irregularities, means you tend to have excessive amount of bleeding during periods or periods may come too frequently or they can become too painful if there is as problem with you period and then you have a fibroids, then probably you need a treatment for fibroids. Similarly a large fibroid can interfere with your bowel function, can interfere with your urinary function. They can cause a lot of weight, a sense of heaviness in your lower abdomen. So if you are having these type of problems, then probably fibroid needs to be treated. If the fibroid is interfering with you becoming pregnant, then again you require to treat the fibroid. Most often people are under the impression that fibroids automatically means surgery but that is not necessary. There are many non surgical treatments for fibroid and one can do this treatment for fibroid so that the problem can be taken care. In today’s days treatment of fibroid has become, much easier. The surgeries has also become very very easy. Today we are able to do the surgeries laparoscopically, that is the keyhole surgery. The recovery is very fast and we are able to send the people home only after a day or two after the surgery. Although even if the surgery has become fantastic and it is very good to undergo one, one should undergo surgery only if it is needed and not otherwise just because fibroid is seen in the report of sonography"
What to do if you are pregnant and don't want the baby? I Dr. Nikhil D Datar
"Many at times a women lands up in a tricky situation, on one hand she does not want to continue the pregnancy but she finds herself to be pregnant. In India it is perfectly legal. So it is your right as a woman to go to your doctor, upto 20 weeks of pregnancy, it is possible. It can be done in a very safe manner. The earlier you go, the termination can be done by giving medication. In short it is a very safe procedure to undergo. Upto 20 weeks, there is absolutely no problem"
