“I, Dr. Makarand Anil Rane, began my career as a doctor by completing MBBS at Rural Medical College at Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni. My hobby of thinking led my path towards becoming a physician by completing MD Internal Medicine at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College, Pune. Then, I gained expertise in critical care at Hiranandani Fortis Hospital, Mumbai.

Understanding the unmet need, I chose a path less travelled. During my postgraduate years, I decided to become an Obstetric Physician. No path, no guidance around; no books, no institutions to be found.

After months of search, I found Fernandez Institute at Hyderabad. I joined its department of physicians and completed my training under HoD Physicians: Dr V Hemamalini, HoD High risk pregnancies: Dr S Tarakeswari and HoD Obstetrics: Dr Nuzhat along with many superspcialists. The extensive experience in varied case scenarios has given an insight to understand situations and predict complications. My special interest lies in pregnancy in women with medical disorders, for which, I can be useful right from pre-pregnancy counselling, disease monitoring during pregnancy and final delivery plans. I have gained experience in managing specific medical disorders occurring in pregnancy.

On this path of continuous learning and experiences, I am starting my work to preserve motherhood from this platform of Ayansh Clinic.
