Dr. Gurmeet is a seasoned paediatrician with extensive experience in paediatric medicine. She holds graduate and postgraduate degrees from Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, where she dedicated 36 years of her career, retiring as Professor and Head of the Paediatric Medicine Department. Her tenure culminated in her retirement as a Professor and the Head of the Paediatric Medicine department at CMC Ludhiana.

Dr. Gurmeet specialises in managing critically ill children, from newborns to adolescents, with expertise in conditions such as Newborn care, pneumonia, epilepsy and meningitis, cerebral palsy and asthma, behavioural issues and psycho-social concerns, growth-related concerns, diabetes, and adolescent obesity.

She also focuses on preventive care, including vaccination and nutrition, and addressing lifestyle disorders while offering anticipatory guidance to children and parents. Dr. Gurmeet is actively involved in school health programmes that promote child health and well-being.
