It might be an understatement to say mothers all around the planet have gone through a lot since time immemorial when it came to taking care of their babies during pregnancy, delivering babies, and raising a child after that. The adversities were always there and the medical fraternity, having gained maturity over the ages, have only tried to make it better.
Some of us are mothers ourselves and we could to any extent, be in solidarity of another mother in difficulty or pain. We know moms. But still, it doesn’t suffice to say that sometimes things go out of our hands. Such was the scenario when the pandemic hit early in 2020. More than the pregnant mothers who were clueless about what to do next, we were clueless too. Nobody is ready to function in a countrywide lockdown perfectly as it was before. But adversities will keep on coming and we will keep on adapting. However, these mothers are the real Brave hearts when it comes to fighting in crisis.
No wonder we call them Mom Warriors on Cloudnine!
Not very long ago, Debosmita De, one such warrior mom, graced her presence to the medical team on Cloudnine, Bengaluru, and delivered her beautiful baby under the supervision of Dr. Modhulika Bhattacharya. While she took us in awe by her ability to smile through all the obstacles that these unwarranted times presented, we also learned life lessons from her for which we will be indebted to her forever.
Debosmita is a working professional, originally from West Bengal. She stays with her husband in Bengaluru due to work. While we cherish all the time we spent, we recorded one official conversation with this charming woman.
Here are some excerpts from our conversation with the lovely Debosmita:
I am a working professional, currently residing in Bengaluru. Originally, we hail from West Bengal. My husband is in the IT sector and has to go abroad quite often due to work. My parents and my in-laws were my guiding support throughout my pregnancy and post-pregnancy journey. I am so grateful to them for all the trouble they took for me. During my labour, my husband was by my side as my pillar of strength and helped me through the situation. Even now that our son is here, we both are equally involved in his nursing and are happily spending these sleepless nights in each other’s company.
However tiring it gets, we know we are doing it for our little bundle of joy. Parenthood is an absolute joy to be in regardless of the hardships if you have a supportive partner beside you. During my pregnancy phase, my husband used to say "We are pregnant", that meant a lot then and still means a lot to me.
Good News! Now you can Avail Home Vaccination Sevices for babies
Doctors were my first priority as I believe I could be helped by someone who could guide me professionally through this. No number of books or videos about pregnancy could come close to the importance of a doctor’s advice during crisis moments. Cloudnine provided an exceptional group of doctors and staff and I couldn’t be happier to have a fellow Bengali as my doctor.
If I have one word to explain my experience, it will be ‘overwhelming’. During these tough times, when the whole world is struggling with a life-threatening disease, I was worried about mine and my unborn baby’s well-being. Cloudnine came to my rescue and made things easy through their video consultation facility, where I had no need to visit the clinic and speak to my doctor to clear my health queries and also follow up on my routine check-ups.
Also, I had a few pregnancy-related complications, for which I was admitted twice before my due date at odd hours. I am so thankful to the junior doctors and also other nursing staff who took utmost care during my stay.
I am also very satisfied with the Cloudnine app, "It’s Our Baby", which makes life easy for the patients, you can book all your appointments from there and you can view your health records.
