In January 2007, we saw the birth of something special. It was the product of many long years of planning, months of spirited brainstorming and the coming together of the most brilliant medical minds in the world. Our goal was different from the other birthing and woman-and-child care facilities in India. We wanted to create miniature magic on little newborn babies; we wanted to inspire wonder with our array of medical technologies. And that’s exactly what we set out to do. We named our little endeavour, Cloudnine.
It’s been twelve years since Cloudnine was conceived, and eleven years since it was born. As we blow the candles out at the end of every year, it signals the bittersweet parting of one singular part of a glorious era. And yet, this year feels different. Because this year, we’re parting with a decade.
In these eleven years, we’ve been invested in emblazoning the gold standard for woman-and-child care in India. We’ve eclipsed the usual humdrum that accompanies pregnancy with a programme that melds together colourful conversations, happy thoughts and delightful moments. We’ve spread our wings by hallmarking the Cloudnine brand beyond maternity and childbirth. We have established an exclusive paediatric hospital. And the Cloudnine umbrella now showers smiles on women right from menarche through to menopause.
We’ve come a long way in the last eleven years, and we have an accomplished team to thank for it. Our wondrous web of clinicians, support staff, doctors and nurses have woven their way into the hearts of millions of families. And the myriad accolades and awards we have received, really belong to them. But the biggest honour that we have earned is the love that we have been enveloped in, by the legions of families we have become part of.
This Founder’s Day, as we marked eleven years as and on Cloudnine, we celebrated the end of one era, and the dawn of another. And so, fittingly, our celebrations were twofold, spread over two exciting months. Our festivities were spangled with events honouring our talented panel of clinicians, who toil tirelessly to ensure that every baby is wrapped in comfort and care from the moment it is born.
In the next eleven years, we look forward to pioneering new technologies, unfurling our brand farther across the country, and nurturing many, many more bumps.
